Hi, I'm new to modding and I was wondering if there is an easy way to modify a WMO. I'm trying to remove ironforge's main gate and replace it with a door gameobject with the same model.

I exported ironforge wmo to Wavefront obj using Machinima. Then I imported that obj file however, Its a black silhouette of the actual WMO. Why are the textures not being loaded ... Any ideas?

Hmm ok I got it working by dragging and dropping one texture file in the menu what ever to the 3D object. Weirdest shit ever

Hmm. That might be really helpful, thanks :)

Have you tried WMO Editor (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=4643)?
-
There are Blender plugins for wotlk .wmo.
-
I tried the WMO editor but I can't actually modify it. All I can do it change the header data and view the WMO. Its quite limited but still useful, thanks.

Skarn this plugin of blender is totally useless, we should seperate all parts and recreat UVmap after ... The better way is to export from WoW Machimina and modify it with blender.

Works fine for me. No idea why you have to recreate the UVMap.
