BUT this dont help with the write only error. Because also admin state is the allowed to opne the mpqs n write mode. Thats why i changed it in 1.3 to open it in read only :)

Rightclick on wow folder > propertys > read only checkbox off.

And it works!

Thanks Steff, you're a wizard.

No, but it says certain DBC files can't opened/found. There's your issue.

Haha, so how do I fix it?

Have you the wow files direct in The client335anoggit folder? So There is The wow.exe direct in and not in a subfolder?

Yes. I got this from a no-install torrent. Could that be my issue?

You should not use noggit as admin. This will lead to problems such as crashes when spawning models. Thats what Steff told me an some times on this forum.

My issue is that I can't get it to work hah. I ran it as an admin and without it. Not working.

Try to start noggit as administrator. If this works CLOSE IT and NEVER use it again as admin. Thrn your rights for the wow folder are not set porberly.
Make sure you have full access.

Tried already ;)

have to always start noggit as admin for it to work properly...
But just in case, if you have wow or (some versions of) wow model viewer running, they open files exclusively and noggit can not open them.
Same goes for most mpq editors I know. You should make sure all other programs that use the mpq files are closed when you start noggit, to rule this out.

I had to start it as admin too when I had it working before.

I also had retail WoW and was playing it for a while but I uninstalled that from my computer a few days ago. I have no mpq editors running and i set WoW model viewer to use my second copy of Wotlk.

EDIT: Fixed! If you're having the exact same config error as me, go into your WoW folder's properties and UNCHECK the box that saids "read-only".

Hey guys,

I don't even know how I got Noggit to work before, but a while ago i uninstalled my WoW for some space and reinstalled it a few days ago to work with Noggit again.

It won't stop crashing on startup and none of these threads are providing an answer that has worked for me:

I was following the tutorial again that Steff had up. I've downloaded his WoWModding zip and extracted it. I've downloaded 3.3.5a and copied it again for the Client335aNoggit and Test folders.

I can get WoWmodelviewer7 to work but NOT noggit.

Here's my config:

#This is a config file template. To use it rename into noggit.conf and set your options
#Edit this to your WoWFile!!!
Path = C:WoWModdingClient335aNoggit

#Edit this to your Project-Directory and uncomment if you want to use it!
ProjectPath = C:WoWModdingToolsNoggitSDL

#Set this to the file where you will import models from (the model viewer log for example :) )
ImportFile  = C:WoWModdingToolsWoWModelViewer7userSettingslog.txt

#The far clipping value. Set to 2048, 3072, 4096 etc. for a further look. Higher values need more 3d power.
#1024 is the standard value and will be taken if you do not set this value.
FarZ=2048

So, yeah...all it does is startup, show me a white screen, then it's gone. How can I get this thing to start working again?

I have started up WoW as an admin and connected to a private server to hopefully make this damn thing accept the mpqs but that's not working. Help!
