[1.12.1] [QUESTION] NPC Greeting Sound files?
« on: August 02, 2015, 08:16:07 pm »
Hey guys.

So recently I've been working on a more complicated swap than I usually do, I don't plan on releasing the file at any point, but I plan on making a guide for this stuff so other people don't need to ask questions like I've been doing.

the ONLY thing I still have to do is change NPC greeting messages, then I'm pretty certain I have a complete Race to Race conversion, with no issues.

The sound files I'm talking about, are sound files like "Hi, how are you?" "Hello" "Be quick about it" etc.

Anyway, I can't find the Gnome greeting messages, and I can't find the MPQ they're in.

Anyone have any idea where these are? checked various MPQ's already, will continue looking, but having a hard time here.

[edit]

found them, they're always in stupid places.

Hi, I think those files are located in the Speech-enUs.mpq, inside the EnUs folder of the data folder in your client.
The directory should be:

 SoundCharacterGnome

there are some other folders with the female and male voice overs
for the  npc sounds you should go in the same MPQ, to the creature folder under Sound and fine the specific gnomes directories.

Hope this will help you n_n /.
