Title: [SOLVED] [BUG] Noggit Not Saving
Post by: Eclipse on August 20, 2012, 09:32:01 pm
I am sincerly getting pissed off with noggit at the moment it randomly does not save and honestly it's rather annoying when i spend an hour working on an adt and it turns out it didn't save it :x. I'm going to redownload noggit and see if it's just corrupted but otherwise i'm not sure what to say.

If you try to save with "strg+s" to save all edited adts while capslock is activated it won't save.

I don't have caps lock on and it still does not save ALL adts.

So it doesn't save all adts marked with a white border on the map?

Correct, it only saved 2 adts out of 6.

wiki/index.php5?title=Noggit_user_manual#The_config_file (http://modcraft.io/wiki/index.php5?title=Noggit_user_manual#The_config_file" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

One look 4 problems in your config file :)

Thats right:

Path = C:Program Files (x86)World Of Warcraft
ProjectPath = C:Map edit project
ImportFile = C:UsersCodyDesktopWMV_Binary_v0701_r128_Win32userSettingslog.txt

Try again if fixed and then post log and config again please. I save about hundred of tmes in a week and never had any problem with this. White ADTs get saved everyt ime.

And have a look there :

819 - (Noggit.cpp:261): Project path: C:Program Files (x86)World of Warcraft

You could find your saved files there.

Why you then not just READ the manual.

Ok points that i see in your new config file:

1. Wrong name > noggit.conf is right > config.txt is wrong.

Text from manual.

Code: [Select]
If you download noggit there is a file called Noggit_template included. This is a template for the noggit config file. To use it just rename it to Noggit.conf. Then it will be loaded and you can set some settings for noggit within it. We ship it with this name so that your config files don't get overwritten during updates.
2. Wrong path:

C:Program Files (x86)Map edit project

NOT

C:C:Program Files (x86)Map edit project

3. Why the path to the logfile ends with an

ImportFile = C:UsersCodyDesktopWMV_Binary_v0701_r128_Win32userSettingslog.txt

Text from manual

Code: [Select]
To use this option you must set the path to the ModelViewer log file inside the noggit config file.This path must point to the Log.txt file inside the userSettings subdirectory of the Viewers application path.

For Example:ImportFile = c:WoWToolsModelVieweruserSettingsLog.txt

Now you have 3 options to insert models from the Viewer. Load the Modelviewer and select one ore mode models, now go to noggit, select a chunk and choose one of the following option in the Assist menu.
