[QUESTION] [PROJECT] Pixie geosets
« on: November 14, 2012, 11:36:05 pm »
Hey guys I have been working on the pixie race for a while now. the female is near completion.
I have a lot of anims made and armor geosets setup.
But I am having trouble converting back to m2.
It crashes on the geosets.
Here is a screenshot of mdlvis.

and here is a screenshot of the converter crashing.

this is insanely difficult (to convert character model)
you need about 220+ anims
about 50 attachments
about 35-40 event objects (from zero via hex editor)
about 44 geosets(meshes)(to body armor geosets)
about 7-9 month of work
new camera via hex (mdx to m2 crashes when convert with camera)
fix all the anims via hex editor (loop flagsbase flags (***,b), next index flags e.t.c
fix bounding sphere via hex

-
i advace you to delete all anims and bones. then try to convert then port to blender and rebind to any other skeleton = profit(maybe)

This is more easier for you than MDLvis

I do not want to use another skeleton or anims.
I want to make from scratch.
which is very hard I know but I believe it will be worth it in the end.
I want to be proud of the model I make. and being it is a pixie I don't think making it use another skeleton will work very well.

thanx for the input I appreciate it vel,
I look up to your work and efforts.
Infact your who inspired me to start working with mdlvis.

Btw I do have a camera in the model scene.
Should I remove it and try conversion?

also I have been working on this model for about 4 months and it is almost done.
but I have dedicated about all my time to it.
