Here is my second model that I have modeled in 3ds max, using several models from World of Warcraft :)
I would like to embed my models in the game but it does not work
Here are some pictures of my model:

As i know converting animated 3ds models to m2 is impossible
-
Not true, it is possible. Vel have done it several times xD?
-
As fare I know vel dont use 3ds or another 3d app else then MDLvic.
-
It is possible to convert from 3ds/obj > mdx/mdl > m2.
-
yes it is possible and very easy. For example, I found a way to get rid of the "Oo" error in any model, and therefore Rebuild no longer needed.
-
It is possible to convert from 3ds/obj > mdx/mdl > m2.
... > ms3d > import in war3modeleditor to mdx
.... > 3ds > paste from file function in mdlvis > + fix "null" texture in the converted model in war3modeleditor via notepad in mdl format
or any 3ds to mdx plugin for 3dsmax

Look like an sligthly changed standard Rock_Giant Rock Chunker (that horn on spine) from WoW.

i dont know if you did custom animations but at the very least couldnt u import the 3ds file into blender and attach it to an existing m2's skeleton then port it via m2mod?
