Good tutorial, although I was expecting the use of M2's for 3d rendering. :P
For this image: http://gyazo.com/daf55fd27eff4ddd621707f093eda43b.png (http://gyazo.com/daf55fd27eff4ddd621707f093eda43b.png" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
USE JPG's!!111!
It's -huge- (file size). There is no need. You do not need a super high quality or an alpha layer or any of the functionality PNG supports. Just use JPG which will reduce the file size to around 200-300KB maximum. Bandwidth is a limited thing.

We will model our own background with our modeling team closer to Beta-B-ish.
But for Alpha, we just used a flat image, so I just wanted to share it, since everyone I talked to didn't know how to do this.

Wait, you still have the falling leaves and such.
Isn't there a much more simpler version to add a .BLP instead of a .m2, than splitting a picture up in 9 pieces?
-
Firstly, it's 6 pieces, not 9..
Second, the M2 file dictates where the pieces are "placed".
One does not simply replace M2 with BLP.

Why is this removed?
