Title: [SOLVED] Can't import an obj in Milkshape 3D
Post by: spik96 on May 02, 2015, 10:20:48 am
Hi !

I'm using Milkshape 3D 1.8.5 and I'm trying to import an obj of a crate (He, I need to start somewhere).
Here's the file : http://pastebin.com/xnebaigm (http://pastebin.com/xnebaigm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

I don't get any error message, the model just doesn't showup and there is no indication somewhere has even been imported.

Well I use it because I'm kind of a beginner and it's a really easy software..
If you have an idea working with an other program I don't mind I'll just switch.

Start with blender. It is very simple if you watch a couple of videos and practice. Milkshape will just teach you wrong outdated ways of modelling and probably just make you give up doing it.

Okay, it seems to work with Blender. I will need to figure a couple things but I'm sure I can make this work, thank you.

EDIT : I can't resize by a given multiplier, the Scale tool seems unappropriate for that, I'm looking up on the Internet but if anyone has a fast solution.. It's for rescaling MDLVis models.

Add me on skype as live:skarnproject. I will explain you how to do it. It seems I know what you're trying to do, and if I am right, you're doing it the wrong way then.

Thanks but I don't use Skype and I'm really reluctant to use it.
To clarify about what I'm trying to do : custom animated models in 2.4.3.

I figured out what was the problem : I used "," instead of ".". Yeah. That's stupid.
