Title: Noggit not working at all
Post by: popje on July 13, 2013, 06:26:27 am
I am new to this website, even though I am a 3d modeler, I do not quite understand how to setup everything, I did follow the tutorial from the beginning, im at the tutorial #02 viewtopic.php?f=78&t=3381 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=3381" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) I copy/pasted wow 3.35a to both client directories, I opened the model viewer .exe, everything works well, but when I open noggit.exe, it open for half a second then close, even if I run as admin, what am I doing wrong ?

if there any other better subforum for that type of question, lmk

NL?

And did you start up wow before it?
How's the noggit config?
And what's the error?

And did you start up wow before it?

You dont haveto start wow before. Only IF you dont usea config!

1. Did you copy the tools/DriveLetter/YourDriveChar/ folderover to WoWModding?
2. Did you copy the content of the wow folder? Not the full folder. You need to have WoWModding/Client335aNoggit/Data direct.

Else post logfile and config file on pastbin and link it here please.

And you are at the perfectly right forum for noggit questions.

I didnt do config anything, yet, I tried to start wow once on both client, didnt worked either
1. I did
2. I did

for the log, I tried to open noggit once while wow 3.35a was still downloading to see if it would open at all, I got a error message and thats it, dont get fooled thinking it is the problem I am having right now, now no matter how many times I try to open noggit, the log file doesnt seem to update, maybe its just me

idk I downloaded the 3.35a wotlk from the most popular torrent on TPB
and it works well, I can log in game

but if its a rights problem, ill try lowering my security windows thing

wotlk from the most popular torrent on TPB

And there the problem could befrom.

I dont know whybut torrented wows often dontwork with noggit.
Try to install on from scratch.

Post by: Jøk3r on July 15, 2013, 11:17:28 pm
It doesn't matter if you can login to your torrented wow client of not. If there rights are configured wrong, noggit does not have the aabilitie to open up the MPQs.
So as Steff said, try installing it from scratch.

The funny thing is, even if you set rights right :) This client don´t work. They did something with files that noggit don´t like.
