Title: crash:Proper wow version
Post by: Olivemodder on February 25, 2011, 03:08:02 am
So I just found out about this program. Problem is I already have 4.x of wow on win7 64bit.

How do I get the proper version of wow? Should I install from the CDs and get the patches from a mirror?

Is there a download pack somewhere for this?

How do i stop wow from auto-updating?

Thanks

Install from cd and use patch mirrows.
Start wow over the wow.exe not the launcher. Then wow dont patch.

I installed the game from the Cds up to 3.03, on an external drive.

When i try to run it on my desktop the program crashes when it starts; the log says ".wowmapview.cpp:310 > Could not find locale directory. Be sure, that there is one containing the file "realmlist.wtf"."
I pointed it to the same location as the laptop, the realmlist is there.

They are both windows 7, 64bit.

Any help would be great thanks.

edit: I got the program to work on my laptop by running in comparability mode. But its laggy as its a laptop, would love to get it running on my desktop.

1. Update to 335a. Noggit is for 335a. DBC changes.
2. Post your logfile and your config file on pastbin.
