Title: Noggit terrain editing
Post by: Guest on August 22, 2011, 06:21:34 am
greetings, while world building i noticed that noggit's terrain rendering is about double of wows and i was wondering if it might be possible to cut the current polygon size in half? For reference load up say the beach line on Isle of Quel'Danas and you will see that noggit takes the smooth edges there and makes them much more jagged.

Certainly
Below is a screenshot of the difference.

As you can see noggit (top) has a far more jagged render than wow (bottom) does. This also happens in several other areas like the shore line between sand and grass in darkshore. That said i was just wondering if it might be possible to decrease the polygon size of the renderer in noggit.

This is not a major issue as one can usually get around it with some creative editing however i thought it would be prudent to bring it to your attention.

as a side not i must congratulate you guys for building one heck of an editor. the time and effort you all have put into this project is greatly appreciated by myself and many others.
