When you export your model in blender use this settings:

or
1) Convert to warcraft III .mdx
2) Convert .mdx to .mdl
3) Edit texture path and copy necessary parts from nullmodel.mdl which is provided in Phucko1's tutorial
4) Open .mdl in mdlvis, set all anims to visible, save as .mdx
5) Drag'n'drop .mdx to mdxtom2converter_lazy
6) profit.

I could not make this .obj to m2 work properly, so it is not the best tool to convert models.

OBJtoM2 has to many limitations and never worked for me as well as mdxtom2  never worked for you. If you can't convert your model with ObjToM2 try this tutorial: http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=9042&view=unread#unread
