Title: [RESOLVED] Problem opening 4.3.4 world.MPQ, world2.MPQ
Post by: Axium on January 25, 2013, 05:03:05 pm: Hi everyone, I recently got some inspirations to do some modding; namely an edit involving extracting cataclysm m2 files and this is where Ive run into a problem. I open up Ladik's MPQ Editor and proceed to open up world.MPQ just like I would any MPQ and in the process of trying to open the MPQ I get the message "Ladik's MPQ Editor has stopped working". Im not entirely sure what the issue is or what Im doing wrong but Im sure someone has had this issue before or something has to be wrong otherwise there would be no cata modding? Thanks in advance to anyone that takes the time help me with this issue.

Wow Version: 4.3.4.15595
Ladik's MPQ Editor Version: 3.5.0.735

wow folder -> settings -> compatibility -> your user -> press edit -> allow "full control" -> let it run through -> profit.

Repeat with the file.

Else, try re-downloading Ladik. Could also be that you require administrator mode, but I am not entirely sure there.

Try openinig wow in a 4.3.4 server and let it download all the data.

I highly doubt its anything to do with permissions so let me ask this: Does anyone know how I can get a "working" 4.3.4 client because if this error is really caused by incomplete files then manually patching to 4.3.4 isnt doing to trick or, again, maybe Im doing something wrong -_-

It will update any version of cataclysm to 4.3.4

Didnt solve the issue so its most likely something with WoW. Ill redownload 4.3.4 and report back.
