Please try to use the right boards. The Project development board is tho post what you have done in yoht project. Not asking how you can do. Moved it to the model section. As fare i undestand you want to use the ogrimar WMO on an 335a server.

i been work on wow 3.5.5a and i take the wow cataclysm orgrimmar and it work for that patch is there any way i can do that ? :?:
Wmo format has not changed since the time of 1.12.1 ... (at least in the cata alpha it is the same)
all you need to do is move in cata Orgrimmar to wow 3.3.5 (. wmo and textures).

stop renaming threads. you cant port graphics from cata if you dont have source code of wow
This is wrong. Really wrong.

The part claiming you can't port stuff without the source.

http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/world-o ... ading.html (http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/world-of-warcraft/model-editing/260505-tech-showoff-different-water-vertex-shading.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
As seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FjuEPnuKtU (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FjuEPnuKtU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)](YouTube - World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Zone Creation Video) (from 2:35 on I think), there are "new" technologies that make the World of Warcraft even moooooooooar beautiful ("paintfully look of WoW" x4). One of them is:
"A technique called 'vertex shading'" that enables us to paint an additional layer on the tilesets so they differ a bit and look better (like some parts being brighter etc.). This is in WoW since 3.*.
To get an impression of what it's able to do:

This shows that you're able to "tint" the terrain however you want to. You can even make it completely black.
The other biiiiig thing is:
Neeeeeeew water! (applause). Its so freaking new that its not even possible in WotLK.

Wat? There are testing files in the current version. They have been in since 3.0. Well, at least they don't let people pay for the new expansion.
Wait..
Oh and btw: 4.* will require even more reworking on tools that are related to terrain etc. The filestructure of ADTs will change a bit.
(And yes, I know: Its not the saaaame awesome water as seen in the cataclysm trailers. That maaay be a side effect of me having tried to get those new effects in within a timespan of about 10 minutes. I did NOT use files I made myself. Its all what WoW provides.)
-
so you just retextured water texture?

so you just retextured water texture?
Look more closely. This is not a retexture but a different shader that has been in WoW since 3.0.
-
so... you downloaded 3.0 client, and get shaders? yup?
<st i remember that 3.0 dont have cata-like water. How did you make that effect? hexing?

The shader files have been in he client for ages. I just told wow to use them.

Could you tell me how? Or all comunity
-
let me guess: WFX files or reverse engineering
-
The shaders are in the DBCs and exist as BLS files.
